In order to use the Vetus universal tank as a waste water tank, a fitting kit must be used. The waste water tank connection kit contains the basic connections and should be supplemented by a waste extraction pipe and a vacuum operated vent.

In addition, inlet connections should be fitted as required - see the 'Tank & hose accessories' section.

Vacuum operated vent valve VRF56A If a waste tank is emptied using a shore based pump-out station, it is possible that insufficient air may enter through the breather vent line, potentially causing the tank to implode. This is not good! To prevent this happening, a vacuum operated vent valve should be fitted to allow air into the tank in the required volume. The VRF56A has a free-flow area of more than 1,100mm² and meets the ISO 8099 standard. It is made from synthetic materials and is corrosion-free.	£34.00
Anti-siphon breather ASD38H If a marine toilet is installed below or close to the waterline and is fitted with an overboard discharge, it should be fitted with an anti-syphon vent to prevent water from siphoning into the boat and potentially sinking it.
