These seat pedestals are suitable for applications where multiple seating positions are used, for example in fishing boats. There are two types: one with a quick clicking system; and the other a more sturdy threaded system.

The QPS system has the significant advantage of the hole for the pedestal being much smaller than other systems, meaning only a small hole has to be drilled into the deck to install the base.

To order a quick positioning seating pedestal, three components should be ordered:

1. A seat mount, which has hole pattern S
2. A leg, either click or threaded type
3. A baseplate, of the same type as the leg
